Mechanical Movement Servicing

A full disassembly, cleaning, and lubrication service for mechanical and automatic timepieces. Our watchmaker inspects each component, replaces worn parts where needed, and reassembles the movement with care before timing it over several days. Suitable for everyday wear pieces as well as older heirloom watches. Includes a written condition report so you understand exactly what was done.

Typical timeline
10–14 working days. This accounts for careful disassembly, cleaning, potential parts sourcing, reassembly, and multi-day timing runs.
Best suited for
Mechanical and automatic watches that are running poorly, keeping poor time, have not been serviced in several years, or have been recently acquired and need a full assessment.

Gentle restoration of the visible exterior, including scratch reduction on the case, polishing where appropriate, and replacement of cracked or clouded crystals. We aim to preserve the original character of the piece rather than over-restore it, and we discuss options with you before any work begins. A considerate choice for watches with sentimental value.

5–8 working days for most cases. Crystal sourcing for unusual specifications may extend this slightly — we'll advise at inspection.

A comprehensive service for vintage and complicated watches, combining movement work, case attention, water-resistance checks, and gentle dial preservation. Each piece is handled individually, with progress shared at each stage and no work undertaken without your agreement. Ideal for treasured pieces that you would like to keep wearing for years to come.
