Terms & Conditions
Last updated: 15 June 2026
These terms govern the relationship between Wela Craft ("we", "us", "our") and clients ("you") who bring watches or other timepieces for service. By leaving a timepiece with us or submitting an enquiry, you agree to the terms set out below. Please read them carefully. If you have any questions, contact us at [email protected] before proceeding.
1. About Wela Craft
Wela Craft is a specialist watch repair workshop located at 142/7 Sukhumvit Road, Khlong Toei, Bangkok 10110, Thailand. We provide mechanical movement servicing, crystal and case restoration, and heritage overhaul services for personal timepieces. We do not manufacture or retail watches.
2. Service Enquiries and Estimates
All service work begins with an assessment of your timepiece. An estimate will be provided before any work commences. We make reasonable efforts to assess the full scope of work during this stage, though unforeseen conditions discovered during disassembly may require a revised estimate.
Estimate Acceptance
Work proceeds only after you have reviewed and confirmed the estimate. If additional work becomes necessary beyond the original estimate, we will pause and contact you before continuing. No additional charges will be applied without your prior agreement.
Assessment Fee
In cases where a timepiece is assessed but you choose not to proceed with service, a reasonable assessment and handling fee may apply. This will be communicated to you clearly before assessment begins.
3. Pricing and Payment
Our current service prices are:
- Mechanical Movement Servicing — ฿3,600
- Crystal and Case Restoration — ฿5,800
- Heritage Overhaul Package — ฿7,900
Prices are in Thai Baht (฿) and include standard labour and consumables (cleaning fluids, lubricants, timing adjustments). Replacement parts — crystals, crowns, gaskets, worn movement components — are charged separately at cost and will be itemised on your final invoice.
Payment Terms
Full payment is due upon collection of your timepiece. We accept payment by cash and major bank transfers. Receipts are issued for all transactions. Work remains in our possession until payment is received in full.
4. Turnaround Times
Estimated completion times vary depending on the service and current workshop schedule:
- Mechanical Movement Servicing — typically 3 to 5 working days
- Crystal and Case Restoration — typically 5 to 8 working days
- Heritage Overhaul Package — typically 10 to 15 working days
These are indicative timeframes, not firm commitments. Complex or vintage pieces may require longer. We will keep you informed of progress and notify you promptly if timelines change. We are not liable for delays caused by part sourcing, manufacturer backlogs, or circumstances outside our control.
5. Handling and Care of Your Timepiece
We treat every timepiece entrusted to us with careful attention. Your watch is handled only by trained personnel and stored securely when not being worked on. We take photographs of the piece upon receipt to document its condition.
Pre-Existing Condition
Any pre-existing damage, wear, or defects noted at intake will be documented and discussed with you. We are not responsible for conditions that were present before the watch was received by us.
Vintage and Fragile Pieces
Older or delicate timepieces may present risks during disassembly or servicing that cannot always be anticipated. Where such risks are identified, we will discuss them with you before proceeding. We approach these pieces with particular care and will not undertake work we consider beyond reasonable professional practice.
6. Limitation of Liability
We take care in all work we carry out. However, our liability is limited to the cost of the service performed. We are not liable for:
- Damage resulting from pre-existing conditions or undisclosed modifications to the timepiece
- Consequential losses, including any sentimental or insurance value
- Damage resulting from parts or components that failed during normal service procedures due to age or prior wear
- Delays in service beyond our reasonable control
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for negligence causing direct physical damage to your timepiece as a result of our work.
7. Uncollected Timepieces
Once a service is complete, we will contact you by phone or email to arrange collection. If a completed timepiece is not collected within 60 days of notification, we reserve the right to apply a storage fee. Timepieces uncollected for more than 12 months may, after further reasonable notice, be disposed of in accordance with applicable Thai law.
8. Warranty on Completed Work
We stand behind the quality of our workmanship. If a fault directly related to our service work arises within 6 months of collection, we will assess the piece at no charge and, if the fault is attributable to our work, address it without additional labour costs. This covers our craftsmanship only — it does not cover damage caused by subsequent impact, water ingress beyond the level tested, or wear from normal use.
9. Intellectual Property
All content on our website — including text, photographs, and design elements — is the property of Wela Craft or its licensors. Content may not be reproduced or distributed without prior written permission.
10. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of Thailand. Any disputes arising from our services or these terms shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the Thai courts. We will always seek to resolve any concerns directly and in good faith before any formal process is considered.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The current version will be posted on this page with the date of the most recent revision. Changes take effect from the date of posting. Continued use of our services following a revision indicates acceptance of the updated terms.
